Wellness Committee’s Inaugural Event - Improved Audio Files

It was five years ago today the Wellness Committee held its inaugural event. Dr. Ray Baker and Dr. Adrianne Ross were the guest speakers and the evening was recorded by Neil Atkinson. Neil has recently cleaned up both recordings and they are now clearer than ever. Here is the perfect chance to hear them if you haven’t already. Both are about an hour long.

Dr. Ray Baker: “Stress, Burnout and Boundaries”

Dr. Adrianne Ross: Description and demonstration of the MBSR program (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn

A Few Changes Under the Hood

It’s Easter - It’s Spring - It’s time for some tune ups under the hood on the web site.

We’ve been running on the current version of our web content software - ExpressionEngine - for nearly two years now.  It is definitely time to run through some update procedures and sweep up some virtual dust bunnies.

We are planning to manage these over the week from April 4th - April 10.

The work will be done in the evenings for the most part. every effort will be made to prevent service interruptions.  In fact it might come off without anyone noticing anything at all.  But that is the best case scenario. It is better that you be prepared in the event that a hiccup bounces the website off the air for a few minutes.

Committee Blogs

Now that cupe391.ca has migrated to ExpressionEngine we have options we did not have before, including giving each committee their own blog (such as this one). The latest headlines from these blogs will then appear on the homepage. Committee chairs can email if they would like to set this up.

Also, could all chairs please review their committee page and let me know if there are any updates that need to be made to the content or members list.

Thank you.
